Classical Guitar Strings Amazon

Is this the right Acoustic guitar?

I have a classical Acoustic guitar and want just a Standard Acoustic. So I go to Amazon.com and find good deals on them, but When I look at some of the descriptions it says steel strings and Nylon bridge and other guitar parts. The question is dose a nylon bridge mean that its Acoustic or classical? And it says steel strings, so is it just a bad guitar all together? Thanks

Amazon.com is the worst place to buy a guitar.....period. Most of the guitars sold there are low priced junk that's marketed to beginners who don't know the difference. There is just no way to tell from the description and pictures if a guitar is playable. I've never heard of a steel stringed guitar with a nylon bridge. Bridges can be made of several different materials, but nylon would be a poor choice. If they mean that it's a nylon stringed guitar with steel strings...avoid it like the plague. Steel strings have much higher tension than nylon strings and will quickly ruin a guitar designed for nylon. The higher tension of steel strings also makes cheap steel stringed guitars harder to play than cheap classical (nylon-stringed) guitars.

The fact that the description has you (and me) confused just underscores my point: buy from a reputable musical instrument dealer. Now that you know how to play, you should go to a store in person and try some guitars out. See and feel them. Try some ones that are above your price range so that you can see the difference. If you absolutely have your mind made up to buy online, go to musiciansfriend.com or a similar site that specializes in instruments. Happy hunting....
